Building Virtual Worlds


 

All the following projects were made in the class Building Virtual Worlds in the Entertainment Technology Center in the Carnegie Mellon University.

All the worlds were programmed in Python using the Panda 3D engine.

Worked in a team of 4 students as the only programmer to develop an interactive world in 2 weeks using different technologies.

 

Workbot 259:

Programmer and Designer of an interactive story using Head Mounted Display (HMD) and motion tracker interaction .

Interactive story about two robots in a factory who fall in love.

Selected from the worlds in the class to be shown at the Building Virtual Worlds show at Carnegie Mellon University.

 

 

Dragonforce:

Programmer and Designer of an interactive story using Head Mounted Display (HMD) and motion tracker interaction.

Interactive story about a dragon tamer and a baby dragon’s survival in war

 

 

Paperboy:

Programmer and Designer of an interactive game, where players used their whole body to control the game while riding a real bicycle.

Interaction build using the Playmotion tool which allowed to track a persons shadow. With this the game was build using the data to track the bicycles left and right turns. Also added the interaction fo throwing newspapers by tracking the players hands whenever he threw left or right.
